Grand Duchess Maria Nikolaevna was the youngest daughter of Tsar Nicholas II and Alexandra Feodorovna. She was born on June 26, 1899, at the Peterhof Palace in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Maria was a happy and healthy child, and she was doted on by her parents and siblings.
