Eyewitness to the Tuskegee Airmen: Eyewitness to World War II is a firsthand account of the Tuskegee Airmen, the first African American military aviators in the United States Army Air Forces. The book is written by Daniel "Chappie" James, Jr., a Tuskegee Airman who flew 100 combat missions during World War II.

James's book is a powerful and moving account of the Tuskegee Airmen's experiences during the war. He describes the racism and discrimination that the Airmen faced from both white Americans and their own military superiors. He also recounts the Airmen's heroic accomplishments, including their role in escorting bombers on dangerous missions over Europe.

Eyewitness to the Tuskegee Airmen is an important and inspiring book that sheds light on a little-known chapter of American history. It is a must-read for anyone interested in the Tuskegee Airmen, World War II, or the African American experience.
