Author Biographies

  • David Cottington is Professor of Art History at the University of Southampton. He is the author of several books on modern art, including Cubism and Its Histories and The Tate: A History.
  • Matthew Gale is Professor of Art History at the University of Edinburgh. He is the author of several books on modern art, including Dada and Surrealism and Kandinsky.
  • Sarah Wilson is Associate Professor of Art History at the University of California, Berkeley. She is the author of several books on modern art, including Cézanne and the Birth of Modernism and Matisse and the Fauves.
