She spent her days collecting data on the continent's vast ice sheets, observing the behavior of penguins and seals, and documenting the devastating effects of human activity on the pristine environment.

In her captivating memoir, From University to the South Pole, Maddy chronicles her extraordinary journey with vivid prose and stunning photography. She shares her triumphs and setbacks, her fears and exhilaration, and her profound connection to the natural world. Through her personal experiences, she sheds light on the urgent need to protect Antarctica and its fragile ecosystem.

From University to the South Pole is more than just a travelogue; it is a testament to the power of determination, resilience, and the human spirit. Maddy's story is an inspiration to young people everywhere, demonstrating that anything is possible if you have the courage to dream big and the perseverance to follow your dreams.
